What to plant after broccoli
After broccoli, plant beans or peas, tomatoes or peppers, squash, onions or carrots.
Not cabbage, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, or radishes, turnips and arugula: they are all in the cabbage family. Check a bed below.

Cabbage family rotation
Broccoli and its relatives share clubroot and pests such as cabbage worms and root maggots. The ones gardeners miss are the quick crops: radishes, turnips and arugula count too.
A worked example
Spring broccoli came out of bed 4 in June 2026. Bush beans can follow in summer. A fall row of radishes would put the cabbage family back in the same bed, so sow those elsewhere.
